todo esta normal ya hice los pasos que me dijeron revice los procesos no hay nada que este consumiendo mucho borre las carpetas e igual cree un usuario nuevo e igual.

Elimina de tu home las carpetas ocultas .gnome, .gnome2 y
gnome2_private (o renombralas primero) sal de la sesión y re ingresa,
ahí prueba y nos cuentas.
