OpenVZ es una technologia para virtualizar servidores a nivel de sistema operativo.
Ebox es una aplicacion para controlar los servicios de un servidor(estilo webmin) y no me da tanta confianza en ambientes de produccion, ademas que yo recuerde el soporte para Debian no es muy bueno, es mejor para Ubuntu.
OpenVZ es 100% para trabajar en produccion. Yo lo uso en servidores HP y Dell bajo Debian y CentOS.
