¿Y ya miraste qué diferencias hay con el xorg.conf de los otros?
Te cuento que, para probar, yo le copiaría el xorg.conf enteriro.
Claro que no borres el tuyo, solamente cambiale el nombre (por alguno 
que después recuerdes).
Si no te anda copiándolo entero entonces empezá con paciencia a mirar 
qué diferencias hay de uno a otro.
