No sé muy bien que le pasa al paquete gnash que hay en los repositorios. La
versión 0.8.1 no da llegado nunca a lenny y la versión de sid nunca me ha
dado buenos resultados.
Yo te recomendaría compilarlo a partir de los fuentes. Además, acaban de sacar
hace poco la beta de la versión 0.8.2, que seguro que es más compatible con
más cosas. http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gnash/
En el archivo README comenta las dependencias que tienes que instalarte para
compilar. No recuerdo haber tenido muchos problemas para compilarlo. La única
opción que le pasé a ./configure es la opción --enable-renderer, que tiene
dos valores posibles: ogl ( --enable-renderer=ogl ), que supestamente usa
OpenGL para acelerar las animaciones flash (a mi no me funciona, me enseña
mal las animaciones y consume un montón de cpu. Si lo pruebas coméntame que
tal te fué) y agg ( --enable-renderer=agg ), que creo que es una librería que
dibuja por software. Ésta sí que me funcionó. Muchas animaciones funcionaban
bien, youtube funciona, pero otros visores de video flash no.
