problemas con HYLAFAX con winmodem(HSP56 / Pctel)

Que tal disculpen una vez mas.
Deseo implementar un servidor fax con HYLAFAX , nunca eh configurado
esas tarjetas en linux ya que no se usa mucho , pero por motivos de
trabajo caballero nomas . bueno para variar me eh topado con una
tarjeta que que es medio dificil de instalar , pero bueno lo eh
logrado a levantar segun yo claro (link de instalacion de dicha

) bueno una vez instalado el HYLAFAX de los paquetes binarios de la
distro que utilizo (UBUNTU-DEBIAN) mando el siguiente comando
#faxaddmodem
Serial port that modem is connected to [ttyS0]?modem
y bueno mucha configuracion
luego me sale esto

Note that if you do not have the modem cabled to the port, or the
modem is turned off, this may hang (just go and cable up the modem
or turn it on, or whatever).

Bueno eso quiere decir que mi modem esta ok . o me equivoco (creo que
anda bien el modem)
bueno en la configuracion le doy lo que dice en este manualito

ah y tengo el "If you're unsure and your modem supports it, use Class
1." segun lo que me arroja la conf del
faxaddmodem y bueno a la hora de probar

y cuando alguien me envia un FAX el telefono suena y suena . el
hylafox no detecta las timbradas ?
