Problema: kernel panic
Hola a todos.
Estoy intentando compilar un kernel, el ultimo estable, para ver si
consigo que funcione la tarjeta de sonido. Creo haber leido que en el
2.6.12 da soporte a la tarjeta (realtek ac97).
Siguiendo las instrucciones de como compilar el kernel al estilo debian
creo el kernel image y lo instalo. Por suerte el anterior kernel sigue
estando ahi.
Se graban los cambios en grub e intento arrancar el ordenador: Kernel panic.
Sigo leyendo y creo la imagen initrd que al parecer faltaba. Arranco
pero nuevamente sucede lo mismo: kernel panic.
Esto es lo que veo en pantalla en el momento de detenerse el inicio:
