Hombre, yo suelo hacer "ssh dominio" en  vez de "ssh ip", y en mi caso, cuando 
el dominio ha cambiado de IP (por ejemplo, IPs dinámicas) pues me sale ese 
emnsaje.
La solución es borrar tu /home/usuario/.ssh/know_hosts o /root/.ssh/know_hosts 
(ya que tú lo has intentado como root).

Lo que pasa es que como a tí te ha salido el mensaje pero haciéndolo con "ssh 
ip" pues no sé qué significa, seguramente que:
   "It is also possible that the RSA host key has just been changed."
Pero no me meto más que no estoy seguro.
