problema con locales

Hola

Les paso un problema

Aparentemente cuando actualizé mi sistema a woody configuré mal las locales
y continuamente me aparece el siguiente mensaje cuando agrego algun paquete
con apt-get

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = (unset),
        LC_ALL = "es_ES",
        LANG = "spanish"

--------------------

Alguien sabe como solucionarlo.
