erro al compilar perl cpan

Hola 
Necesito instalar los modulos  de cpan para ser empleados en perl 
Y me baje
ftp://cpan.teleglobe.net/pub/CPAN/modules/dbperl/perl5.004_01.tar.gz
Pero cuando trato de compilar me dice que me falta la biblio db
Que .deb es el que tengo que instalar para que no me salga el error
Muestra de lo dicho.

I've tried to compile and run a simple program with:

        cc -O2 -Dbool=char -DHAS_BOOL -I/usr/local/include -L/usr/local/lib -o try try.c -lnsl -lgdbm -ldbm -ldb -ldl -lm -lc -lcrypt
        ./try

and I got the following output:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ldb
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I can't compile the test program.
