El gtm (Gnome Transfer Manager). En realidad es una interfaz gráfica (y muy bien hecha, por cierto) para manejar wget ... el cual es magnífico. Si usas gnome tiene hasta un applet
(aplique) que podrás poner en la barra de tareas.

Instálate en la barra de tareas los apliques Gnome desktop y/o tasklist y desde allí podrás controlar todas las aplicaciones.
