raro, porque debería funcionar "por defecto". Supongo que
tienes bien definida la variable $LANG, quizás el problema
esté, si no has trasteado el `/etc/inputrc', en el
`/etc/X11/Xresources/xterm' (3.3.3.1),

! Uncomment the following lines to make xterm appear much like a virtual

XTerm*foreground: gray90

En la versión anterior de Xfree creo que estava junto en el
fichero `/etc/X11/Xresources'.
