Certificado A3 / Leitora ACS ACR 38U-CCID

Procedi como indicado em https://wiki.debian.org/Smartcards:

# lsusb

Bus 002 Device 015: ID 072f:90cc Advanced Card Systems, Ltd ACR38 SmartCard Reader

# apt-get pcscd pcsc-tools scdaemon libccid

Verifiquei que a leitora e cartão estão sendo detectados:

# pcsc_scan

Scanning present readers...
0: ACS ACR 38U-CCID 00 00

Wed Jun 29 17:12:42 2016
Reader 0: ACS ACR 38U-CCID 00 00
  Card state: Card inserted,
  ATR: 3B 7F 96 00 00 80 31 80 65 B0 84 41 3D F6 12 00 4C 82 90 00

Entretanto, quando tento ler o cartão usando o gpg v. 1.4, ele fica solicitando a inserção do cartão, estando este já inserido:

# gpg --card-status
gpg: detected reader `ACS ACR 38U-CCID 00 00'
Please insert the card and hit return or enter 'c' to cancel:
Please insert the card and hit return or enter 'c' to cancel:
Please insert the card and hit return or enter 'c' to cancel:

Executando o gpg v. 2.0, algo mais estranho acontece:

# gpg2 --card-status
scdaemon[6965]: can't select application `openpgp': Not supported
gpg: OpenPGP card not available: Not supported
root@servidor:~# scdaemon[6965]: updating slot 0 status: 0x0000->0x0007 (0->1)
scdaemon[6965]: scdaemon (GnuPG) 2.0.26 stopped

Alguma sugestão?
