Sim.  São *MUITO* diferentes.  Um é FreeBSD, o outro é Debian GNU/kFreeBSD.

A única coisa em comum entre eles é o kernel, e uns poucos utilitários de
baixo nível.  E nem sequer a libc é a mesma: Debian/kFreeBSD usa glibc
(GNU).
