Habilitar saída VGA (Intel 915GM) em laptop

Pessoal, no Etch a saída VGA funcionava ao conectar um monitor externo 
(ou um Data Show), porém no Lenny não está habilitada a saída VGA:

$ lspci

Alguém saberia me informar por onde eu preciso começar? :-)
