Execute "checkpc -f".
Tente enviar impressão de teste pela própria tela onde adicionou a impressora.
Se lj-cpd é uma impressora Laserjet, creio que ela não suporta texto diretamente e sim PostScript (PS). Aí então escolhe-se o modelo da impressora ou impressora PostScript. Pelo seu primeiro enunciado achei que era matricial ou serial, por isso sugeri o modelo RAW (ou Genérico também serve).
