boa noite estou tentando subir com o apache e estou recebendo esta mensagem

debian4:/etc# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Forcing reload of web server (apache2)...httpd (no pid file) not running
failed!
debian4:/etc#

algum ja passou por isso ??
