Procurei no google e não consegui resposta, então recorro a vocês.
Como saber se o mod_rewrite está ativo no apache 1.3.34 ?
verifique a linha:
LoadModule rewrite_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_rewrite.so
no arquivo /etc/apache/httpd.conf ou modules.conf
