problemas com o PHP5 + SOAP

Pessoal,

instalei o php5 + soap de um repositório do apt-get.org. mas o controle de 
sessão do php5-soap não está funcionando.

Procurando encontrei a seguinte mensagem no seguinte endereço:

Now it gets spookie.

I downgraded from the php5-5.0.5 from the maintainer of php5 on Debian
to the official php5-5.0.5 in Sid and in this version it works. Checked
soap.c in the official version with my former version and the showed to
be identical!

Eu tentei a versão oficial da unstable ou mesmo da testing, mas nao tem o 
modulo do soap.

Alguem tem alguma dica ou solução para isto?
