Problemas de Video (denovo) e Lentidão na Iniciliazação

Olá pessoal... Antes de tudo quero agradecer ao pessoal que me ajudou com meu video...

Estou com 2 problemas aqui:

1. Na inicialização chega uma parte que fica essa msg:

"STARTING MAT: lp0: USING PARPORT0 (INTERRUPT - DRIVEN)

Chega a ficar 2~3min nisso, alguém tem o mesmo problema?

2. Configurei meu video (que é uma NVidia GForce MX440) como "vesa" em
1024, até aí tudo bem, pensei que não teria mais problemas com
travamento no Gnome, mas ainda está dando o mesmo problema: aparece
umas linhas verticais na tela, só que agora não trava o linux, eu posso
continuar mechendo, mas com a slistras na tela =/
