Eric; Não é bem assim. Como está o seu /etc/apt/sources.list ? O seu sistema está como stable e vc tá tentando instalar algum pacote do unstable ou testing ? Mande o seu sources.list para a lista para uma análise. Sem isso, fica pouco provável que alguém aqui consiga lhe ajudar. Por exemplo, eu uso o mplayer do marillat.
