se vc usa o kernel da distribuição ele já deve ter suporte ao DHCP. Vc vai 
precisar só de um cliente DHCP para configurar sua interface automaticamente. 
Se vc vai compilar um kernel novo entao habilite a opção: "IP DHCP Boot" que 
fica dentro da opção "IP: Kernel level autoconfiguration"  da sessão "Network 
Options".
