Isso também já aconteceu comigo... várias vezes. E, o erro é
claro pela mensagem acima, tanto da GDK quanto to dpkg... O que eu
acabei fazendo - e que não afetou em nada o meu sistema, mas me livrou
dessa mensagem chata - foi trocar LC_ALL para "C" ao invés de iso_8859-1
ou pt_BR ou ...
