Bom, põe tipo vfat em lugar de auto. vfat lê msdos sem problemas, e
especifica na marra o tipo qdo for um floppy minix ou ext2 (usando -t ext2
no mount por exemplo).
Ou cria dois mountpoints, um /floppy e um /msfloppy ou coisa parecida, com
tipos diferentes em fstab.
Eu pessoalmente prefiro usar os m* (pacote mtools) e nem montar o floppy.
