Atualizar kernel
Oi pessoal, atualizei o debain com apt-get -i dist-upgrade e parti para
a atualizacao do kernel (2.2.17 -> 2.4.9-586tsc). Durante a instalacao
recebi a mensagem:
-----------------------------
You are attempting to install an initrd kernel image (version
$version)
This will not work unless you have configured your boot loader to
use
initrd.
As a reminder, in order to configure lilo, you need to
add an 'initrd=/boot/initrd' in your /etc/lilo.conf
To get rid of this message, put `do_initrd = Yes' in
/etc/kernel-img.conf.
-----------------------------
Adicionei o comando no final do arquivo lilo.cong e rodei lilo. Quando
fui inicializar a maquina, o kernel novo parou em kernel-panic. O
computador é um pentium 200Mhz. O trecho final do lilo.conf apos a
instalacao ficou assim:
# Boot up Linux by default.
#
default=Linux
image=/vmlinuz
label=Linux
read-only
# restricted
# alias=1
image=/vmlinuz.old
label=LinuxOLD
read-only
optional
# restricted
# alias=2
# If you have another OS on this machine to boot, you can uncomment the
# following lines, changing the device name on the `other' line to
# where your other OS' partition is.
#
# other=/dev/hda4
# label=HURD
# restricted
# alias=3
initrd=/boot/initrd
Essa ultima linha foi escrita por mim. Alguma dica??
Falou!!
