l1:1:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 1
l2:2:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 2
l3:3:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 3
l4:4:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 4
l5:5:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 5
l6:6:wait:/etc/init.d/rc 6
Comente os que não deseje que estejam ativados.

Somente mude aquele 2 logo acima para o runlevel desejado. Não coloque 0 ou 6 para não ter problemas :-)

Boa escolha :-) Menu Configurações -> Preferências Comuns -> Aba Exibir. Em Fonte, escolha sua fonte preferida.
Sober os temas, caso esteja usando GNOME, alguns pacotes com temas são (para unstable, não sei se os mesmos existem na stable) :
