cannot execute a binary file

I've got RedHat 9.0 and I recently tried to install realplayer in my web 
browser (Mozilla). I've used chmod u+x but still I get the response 
mentioned in the subject when I try to execute the binary file 
(rp8_linux_alpha_rh62_cs1.bin). I'd really appreciate it if somebody 
could give me a hint (even though I'm not a Debian user ;-)).
