Probier mal alsamixer. Das Programm hat eine ncurses GUI.
Damit kann man die Lautstärke ändern. Bei meinem Lenovo T470 hat das
prima funktioniert.
Das geht auch indirekt über pulseaudio, ist aber etwas kryptisch.
Wenn gewünscht stelle ich Dir die Vrogehensweise zusammen.
Die Infos habe ich auch von einem anderen freundlichen User :-).
