das hatte ich zuerst auch gefunden. Aber an anderer Stelle fand sich der
Hinweis, dass das nicht reicht (ich hatte es auch probiert). Mein
gezeigter Befehl soll der richtige sein:
>> UPDATE USER SET authentication_string=password('xxxxx') WHERE
>> User='debian-sys-maint';

P.S.: ich hatte natürlich ausführlich Google genutzt, das meinte ich
auch mit Recherchen.
