Ich zitiere mal aus der LTS FAQ im Debian Wiki [1]:
"Additionally, a few packages will not be supported in the LTS version
of the release, primarily some web-based applications which cannot be
supported for the additional timeframe. The tool check-support-status
from the package debian-security-support [2] helps to detect such
unsupported packages."
Und in der Tat wird chromium-browser dort für Debian 6 und 7 als EOL
bezeichnet.
Oh, da gab es sogar ein security announcement [3] zu.
