seit einiger Zeit macht mir meine HD meines IBM Thinkpads einigen Kummer.
Hin und wieder verabschiedet sich KDE 'einfach so' und kann nicht wieder hergestellt
werden. Nur noch ein 'e2fsch -yvf' kann dann noch Abhilfe schaffen. Es laufen dann
meterweise Fehlermeldungen über die Konsole (von wegen Reparatur hier und da), aber
danach habe ich für einige Wochen wieder Ruhe.
Nur: seit Vorgestern kann der e2fsck die Sache nicht mehr reparieren.
Mit smartcfg habe ich die Platte kontrolliert. Der schnelle Test verläuft fehlerfrei.
Der Gründliche aber findet einen Fehler und bricht bei 50% mit der folgenden Meldung
ab: (ich bin nicht so bekannt mit Smartcfg. Vielleicht kann da jemand mal mitlesen?)

In den Error log steht noch das folgende:

Eine komische Fehlermeldung, dass CHS und LBA nicht die gleichen sind. Wo kann ich so
etwas einstellen. Im BIOS bin ich nicht fündig geworden. Oder geht so etwas über
cfdisk, gleich beim partitionieren?
Des weiteren fällt auf dass der Rechner oft hängen bleibt während eines e2fsck.
Manchmal mit einer Kernelpanik, auch oft ohne. Auch während des Tests mit TestDisk ist
der Rechner hängen geblieben.
