Welche alsa/kernel version hast Du installiert?
Was sagt
$ dpkg -l alsa-utils
$ cat /proc/asound/version
$ cat /proc/asound/cards
$ grep snd /etc/modprobe.d/*
$ cat /etc/modules
$ lsmod | grep snd

Nein, Deine Karte wird nicht von ALSA angesprochen. Findest Du
etwas bekanntes in der folgenden Liste (Dein MSI/Biostar Mainboard)?
