Unsichtbare zeichen in der source.list ?

Sorry ich bin ein relativer "noob" auf Debian aber ich experimentiere
seit einigen Monaten mit einen
vserver mit debian /etch herum , bloss habe ich das Gefühl das sich
von Zeit zu zeit irgentwie
selbsttätig Fehler in die "source.list" einschleichen.
Als ich heute , ein "apt-get update" versuchte meldete er mir eine
"Malformed line "
aber ich kann keine finden ? Sonderzeichen ?, unsichtbare Zeichen ?
Einer eine idee ?
Ich bin ratlos.:(
