Samba: Problem mit dem Password Chat

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe auf einer Lenny mit Samba 3.0.24-6etch10 ein Problem mit 
dem Password-Chat.

Wenn unix password sync = Yes:
Der Versuch, von einem Windows-XP-Client aus das Paßwort zu ändern 
schlägt fehl: "...keine Berechtigung, das Paßwort zu ändern..." 
(sinngemäß).

Wenn unix password sync = No
Dann funktioniert die Änderung des Paßwortes.

Daraus schließe ich, daß samba es nicht schafft, das Paßwort des 
zugehörigen Unix-Accountes zu ändern. 

So bin ich auf den Parameter "passwd chat =" gestoßen. Hat jemand 
einen String bereit, den ich hier eintragen kann? Die Strings, die 
mir Google gab, funktionieren jedenfalls nicht. Und aus dem Log des 
Paßwort-Chats [1] werde ich nicht schlau.
