Funktionierender dhcp-Client gesucht
Hi Liste,
irgendwie habe ich Probleme mit dhcp auf meinem Notebook, die ich nicht
in den Griff bekomme. Und zwar läuft der dhcp-client, aber wenn ich die
WLAN-Karte einstecke und (in /etc/network/interfaces steht sehr wohl
dhcp, von daher müßte es eigentlich funktionieren) dann warte, bekommt
der Rechner die Netzwerkdaten einfach nicht zugewiesen. Probiert habe
ich schon dhcp-client und dhcp3-client, mit beide habe ich das
identische Problem. Es werden weder IP noch DNS-Server eingerichtet.
Allerdings bin ich (aufgrund der manpage) davon ausgegangen, daß man in
einem "normalen" IPv4-Netz (einfache Router wie Linksys WRT54 o.ä.)
keine besonderen settings einrichten muss. Hat jemand eine Idee, woran
das Problem liegen könnte!?
Anbei ein Stück aus syslog. Nicht wirklich aussagekräftig. An einigen
Stellen wird behauptet, das Network sei down. Das ist definitiv nicht
richtig, ich habe keine Ahnung, wie das Mistding zu dieser Annahme
kommt. Das Problem tritt übrigens mit unterschiedlichen WLAN-Karten auf
(rt2500 und orinoco), weshalb ich die Karte selbst bzw. deren Module
ausschliesse und im Grunde nur den dhclient in Verdacht habe. Trage ich
nämlich die Netzwerkdaten als "static" von Hand ein (mit einer
bekannten, freien IP), so funktioniert jedes Netzwerk sofort und ohne
Verzögerung. Unter wahlweise gebootetem Windows funktioniert sowas
natürlich auch auf Anhieb...
