Habe gerade ein vllt. ähnliches Problem:
Mein Sound funktioniert nur wenn ich nach dem Start der grafischen 
Oberfläche alsaconf (in root-console) nochmals ausführe und dort den 
richtigen Treiber auswähle danach geht es dann ...
die Lautstärke (alsamixer iirc)  ist hochgedreht?
