Logrotate auf die bist klopfen...
Der sollte rotieren und wenn Wenn wirklick täglich Monsterdateien
gescrieben werden spamd, postgresql, sshd, etc., in separate logs
schreiben lassen und logs täglich rotieren...
Mein syslog hat töglich rund 700 MByte und die mail.log so um
die 1400 MByte... sowie postgresql.log mit 800 MByte.
Anm.: Hatte mal eine Unfall mit dem syslog/logrotate und die
Datei war nach ner Woche rund 26 Gbyte groß...
System ist eine AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 32 Bit, Ext3
Und mit Dateigrößen habe ich keine probleme...
