WXSGA+ Monitor und verwaschene Schriften

Hallo, habe mir einen 22" Monitor gegönnt.
Leider sind die Schriften aber jetzt total vewaschen.
Die Auflösung von 1680x1050 wird angezeigt, aber die Schriften kann man
so nicht gebrauchen.
Ich habe ein wenig gegoogelt, aber nix gefunden, was mir weiterhilft.

den FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType" Eintrag
habe ich per Hand an die erste Stelle
kopiert, hat aber auch nix gebracht, ist genauso schlecht wie wenn der
Eintrag an der letzten Stelle ist.


Aus dem Logfile des X servers ist mir noch aufgefallen, dass der Monitor
nicht als LCD erkannt wird:

So, jetzt könnte ich ein paar Tipps gebrauchen.

(Habe das schonmal im debianforum gefragt, aber leider hat keiner
 bisher geantwortet, ich hoffe, ich bin hier richtig ...)
