font-Probleme (unter X7.1)
Liebe Debianer,
seit einiger Zeit quält mich ein Font Problem. Symptome sind die
Nicht-Verfügbarkeit einzelner Font in einzelnen Programme.
Zum Beispiel sind die TrueType-Schriftarten wie Bitstream Vera Sans Mono nicht
im Emacs verfügbar, (dieses Problem begleitet mich schon seit den X6.x
Versionen), sondern nur Bitstream Charter (Type1).
Seit neuestem (d.h. seit X7.0 -> X7.1) gibt es für mein osd_cat keine Adobe
Helvetica Fonts mehr
(z.B. -adobe-helvetica-bold-o-normal-*-34-240-100-100-p-182-iso8859-1), nur
ein klägliches
ABORT: Requested font not found
obwohl diese noch unter xfontsel wählbar sind und diese in emacs sehr wohl
funktionieren.
Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich ein bißchen Ordnung in mein Font-Wirrwarr
bringen kann? Zumal nach Debian-Reference gelten sollte:
"[]All these font packages in Debian should work without any efforts and
appear available to all X programs that use the regular "core" font system.
This includes things like Xterm, *Emacs*[..]"
