Ich habe bis vor eine Stunde ein Elitegroup K7S7AG (SiS Chipsatz) mit
Console Maus (gpm, PS/2, raw) und XFree86 (v4.3) mit /dev/gpmdata
(PS/2) gehabt und alles hat funktioniert.

Nun habe ich das Mainboard ausgewechselt und habe ein AsusTek A7V600-X
(VIA Chipsatz) mit Console Maus (gpm, PS/2, raw) und einer Matrox
Millenium II mit XFree86 (v4.3) und /dev/gpmdata (PS/2) UND NICHTS GEHT
MEHR. - Keine Maus
Dann guck ich in die XF86Config-4 und sehe

Sch...e. - Also Freß ich mich Durch die FAQ und sehe, das xserver 4.3
das protocoll ändert weild er Rest crap ist und ich dazu die gpm.conf
auf:

ändern muß...
Nun geht überhaupt nichts mehr, denn meine maus kann mit ms3 nichts
anfangen ich benötige aber die maus auf der Console...
Die Frage ist: Warum hat es vorher mit dem Alten Mainboard und PS/2
im XFree86 protocol funktioniert ? Ich habe ja nichts
geänder, sondern nur das Mainboard gewechselt.
Also X ist nicht mehr verwendbar... und dir Console funktioniert nur
noch ohne Maus.
