In meiner .mplayer/config habe ich
font = ~/.mplayer/font/font.desc
#font = ~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf
Die auskommentierte Zeile bezieht sich auf den (inzw.) toten Link
subfont.ttf -> /usr/share/fonts/truetype/Verdana.ttf
font -> arial-14
arial-14 -> /usr/share/mplayer/font/iso-8859-1/arial-14/
$ dlocate /usr/share/mplayer/font/iso-8859-1/arial-14/
mplayer-fonts: /usr/share/mplayer/font/iso-8859-1/arial-14/font.desc
[...]
Weiß nicht, ob das so elegant ist und obs das Problem behebt, weiß
ich auch nicht. ;-)
