Vorsicht! USB-Geräte kann man im laufenden Betrieb ab- und anstöpseln,
bei PS/2 kann es dir Chips auf dem MB zerschiessen.

Also ich nutze eine MX700 und die Tasten und das Wheel krieg ich bei mir
mit imwheel zum laufen.

Was das alles heisst -> man XF86Config

dann starte ich noch im ~/.xinitrc

/usr/bin/imwheel -b "006700"&
/usr/X11R6/bin/xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5"&

Auch hier man imwheel und man xmodmap
Je nachdem welche Button du wie belegen willst musst du dein
~/.imwheelrc anpassen. 

Vorsicht, wenn man das übertreibt, dann kann man
an Rechnern die eine "normale" Maus haben nicht mehr arbeiten ;-).
