Kann sym53c8xx scsi-id mit kernel 2.6 nicht setzen
Hi!
Ich habe einen Compaq CL380 Cluster.
Das sind im Prinzip 2 Server mit einem shared SCSI.
Um von beiden Server darauf zugreifen zu können, muss ich auf jedem
Server eine andere SCSI-ID vergeben.
Auf dem einen Member habe ich Woody mit Kernel 2.4.27, wo es problemlos
funktioniert.
Auf dem anderen habe ich Sarge mit Kernel 2.6.8.1-1-686, wo es so
aussieht, als ob das Modul den Parameter beim laden einfach ignoriert
und immer ID 7 setzt.
Wenn nun beide Server mit gleicher ID auf den Bus zugreifen kommt es
dann natürlich zu fehlern...
Hat irgend jemand Erfahrungen mit dem Problem und es gelöst?
Mache ich irgend etwas falsch?
Gibt es hierzu einen Bug-Report und einen Workaround?
Auf bugzilla.kernel.org habe ich für dieses Problem nichts gefunden und
auch Google liefert dazu nichts.
Den Parameter habe ich so angegeben, wie in der Kernel Dokumentation
(kernel-source-2.6.8/Documentation/scsi/sym53c8xx_2.txt).
Auch das setzen von irgend welchen Debug-Modes bzw. Verbosity-Levels ist
ignoriert worden.
