Das würde ich anders machen:
/usr/bin/fetchmail -d 1800 -L ~/Mail/fetchlog
Das befördert fetchmail in den Daemon-Mode, der sich alle 1800
Sekunden (=alle halbe Stunde) aktiv wird.
