Unklare Werte bei externer Festplatte
Hallo Liste!
Ich habe gestern eine neue 250GB Festplatte (Maxtor 5000XT) für Backupzwecke
bekommen und wollte nun direkt damit loslegen, diese in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Standardmäßig ist die mit vfat formatiert. Das habe ich geändert in:
linux:/home/jens# fdisk /dev/sda
The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 30515.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Die Filesysteme habe ich danach manuell erzeugt.
Wenn ich diese Platte nun mounte dann ergibt ein linux:/home/jens# df -H
folgendes Ergebnis:
/dev/sda1 251G 33k 251G 1% /backupvfat
/dev/sda2 238G 34M 226G 1% /backupe3
Das ist aber natürlich quatsch. Denn /dev/sda1 ist ja nur 10GB. /dev/sda2
scheint aber zu stimmen. Wer kann mir sagen, was hier falsch läuft?
