Problem mit Xserver,Graka,Auflösung...
Hi,
also vor einer Woche hab ich meine Debian-Woody vom Rechner geschmissen,
weil ich einiges verhunzt hatte. Nun installiere ich neu und hab ein
Problem mit meiner Graka (Matrox G550). Ich bekomm einfach nix besseres
außer 800x600 zum laufen. Obwohl ich die gleichen Schritte wie auf meinem
alten Debian-Woody-System gemacht habe:
1.) Debian-Woody mit VESA Treibern installiert -> 800x600
2.) XServer mit backported-Paketen auf 4.2.1 upgedated (hat gefunkt,
zumindest "apt-cache show xserver-common" zeigt mir als Version 4.2.1-6 an)
3.) Matrox G550 Linux Treiber installiert, hat auch problemlos geklappt
4.) Dann nehm ich meine alte Xf86Config-4 und setz die anstelle der
jetzigen mit den VESA-Treibern rein und normal müsste ich jetzt mga-Treiber
nutzen und bei 1024x768 und 24Bit arbeiten können, aber "startx" sagt mir
"No screens found".
Was mache ich falsch?
