was das Paket 'noatun-plugins' genau macht?

Hintergrund: Ein Bekennter brachte kürzlich ein Urlaubsviedeo als mpg
Datei mit. Ich konnte es mit noatun nicht abspielen. Er sagte was von
mpeg2-codiert.
Ich kann also anscheinend nur mpeg1 abspielen... :(
