Il y a un léger mieux.

Si je supprime "xorg.conf", je lance X par la commande :
# tdm start
(bureau tde-trinity),
je passe en mode graphique mais ultra basique,
avec une petite résolution.

# nvidia-settings
voici le message reçu :
"You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver.  Please edit your X 
configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X 

# nvidia-xconfig"
il me créé "xorg.conf" mais ensuite impossible de lancer X.
Il faut le supprimer pour passer au bureau graphique.

Fichier ".xessions-errors" :

il semble que le pilote NVIDIA de Debian soit mal installé...
