probleme ebtable sous sparc

Bonjour à tous,

je cherche à utiliser la table broute sur ma station sparc (debian sid) 
mais quand je tape ne serait-ce que :
ebtables -L
ma machine me répond "The kernel doesn't support the ebtables 'filter' 
table."
noyau 2.6.24-1-sparc64 pris dans les dépots

j'ai fais le même test avec une sid installée sur un x86 et là, pas de 
soucis, le support est effectif et cela fonctionne.
un "cat /boot/config-2.6.24-1-sparc64| grep EBT" me répond :

j'ai chargé les modules via modprobe mais le message reste le même :
The kernel doesn't support the ebtables 'filter' table.

je ne sais pas si je dois chercher du coté du noyau ou du coté de ebtables.

auriez-vous des idées?
