Salut,

j'ai essayé les indications de la page http://adsl.free.fr/tv/multiposte/ et 
ça donne chez moi sous sarge :

$ vlc

Je crois qu'il manque qc. 
"apt-cache search vlc" sort une longue liste. Puis
$ dpkg -l | grep vlc | grep ii

ii  vlc-plugin-sdl 0.8.1.svn20050 SDL video and audio output plugin for VLC
