font , charset ...?

Bonjour,

Je n'ai jamais rien compris à la
gestion des fonts sous linux
(ni ailleur d'ailleur)

J'ai vu qu'il y a des packages
(apt-cache search font) pour la
console, pour X.

J'imagine que chaque application gere
à sa façon les polices. Emacs n'a pas
les memes font que Mozilla Mail par exemple.

Et  quand je lance gnucash j'obtiens:
